Week of August 15, 2016
1. Medal detector! Juan Martin delPotro, Andy Murray, and Kei Nishikori were victorious in Rio. And don't worry, Andy. No one saw you break your Rio medal holder!
2. View from the top! Angelique Kerber, Monica Puig and Petra Kvitova went home with a little extra hardware from Rio! Congratulations to all of the tennis Olympic medalists!
3. Hang on tight! It looks like Denis Kudla could audition for the next American Ninja Warrior. We wouldn't find out if he made it until next season. Don't you just hate cliffhangers?!
4. Gonna make you sweat! Simona Halep has a serious case of the gym vibes.
5. Locker room lunch date! Feliciano Lopez makes eating in a locker room way more appealing than anyone expected! We'll take a bench for two, please!
6. A bear hug! Victoria Azarenka has taken a break from the tennis tour after announcing she is expecting her first child. The support she received has been unbearlieveable!
7. A kid at heart! John Isner had a play date with very special kids at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Some of the kids took on Isner at Wii Tennis and the future of the sport looks very bright!
8. The brush off! Rain rain go away, Garbine has had enough today! Garbine Muguruza got an extra workout by drying off the practice court.
9. Creature feature! The weather isn't the only thing wild around the Western & Southern Open. Players had a special visit with unique fans from the Cincinnati Zoo. This armadillo couldn't wait to get an autograph from Rafa Nadal!
